Nature of Service

Cost Effective Energy functions solely as a service provider. We provide access to energy offers that are pre-screened in order to facilitate enrollment in electricity plans offered by third-party providers.

We are not a party to contracts between you and energy providers and do not assure third-party rates or services. Use of our service requires an active subscription. Optional add-ons might be offered and pricing for electricity plans is subject to agreements directly between you and your energy provider.

Subscriptions and Fees

Access to our services requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually per meter. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to the payment method on file. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 30 days prior to the end of the term. Subscription fees are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to:

• Adjust subscription fees with 30 days’ prior notice.
• Suspend or cancel service if payments fail or terms are violated.
• Charge late fees on overdue accounts.
• Pursue collection of unpaid balances.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate payment information. If your payment method changes or expires, you authorize us to update it and continue charging your account. All fees are listed in U.S. dollars.

Use of the Website and Services

Please use our site and services only for lawful purposes. If the rules are not followed, your account could be suspended or even terminated. Make sure your login details stay private as anything done through your account is your responsibility.

Communication and Consent

We might reach out by email or text with updates about your service, billing, or support. You can opt out of promotional messages if you need but we cannot stop messages necessary for your account. Calls and chats with our team may be recorded for training, quality checks, or for issue resolution.

Energy Provider Authorization

Cost Effective Energy can help setting up accounts with utilities or services such as Smart Meter Texas (SMT) as they can access your electricity usage data and communicate with energy providers for you. You may withdraw this authorization at any time by reaching out to us, however, this might prevent us from completing certain tasks on your behalf or limit us from providing you with some of our services.

Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided “as is,” and we can’t promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific results. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the subscription fees you’ve paid for the current term. You also agree to protect and hold harmless Cost Effective Energy, our employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or liabilities related to your use of the service.

Data Retention and Termination

If you cancel your subscription, we’ll handle any third-party agreements on your behalf within 45 days, unless you tell us otherwise. We may keep certain data collected during your membership as needed for legal or business purposes.

Modifications to Terms

We may update or change these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continuing to use our services after any changes means you accept the updated terms.
